Vision 2007

Three facts are clear:

1. "Where there is no vision [no redemptive revelation of God], the people perish; but he who keeps the law [ of God, which includes that man] -- blessed (happy, fortunate, and enviable) is he. "Proverbs 29:18 (Amplified Bible)
2. "Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain." Psalms 127:1 (NIV)
3. "Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it." Mark 16:20 (NIV)

1. City Compassion:

• We must not neglect the poor and needy
• City Compassion Foundation - a vehicle to channel funding toward good charitable initiatives in the city that we can endorse. Donors can remain anonymous.

2. City Youth:

• The challenge of a whole generation
• Convene a roundtable of younger leaders
• Pray & strategize
• Reach the City Youth

3. City Gates Roundtables:

• Government & Politics
• Law & Judiciary
• Economics & Business
• Education
• Media / Arts / Communication
• Health & Social Services
• Science & Technology

4. City Prayer:

• Pastor's Prayer Fellowship
  - 1st Wednesday of each month at 10:30AM
• Intercessors' Prayer Fellowship
  - every Wednesday but the first of each month
  - 1 hour focused prayer 10:30am-11:30am
• Citywide Prayer Events
• Praying Together 2
  - September 2007
• City Gates Roundtable Prayer
  - Seven task forces
  - Thousands mobilized in Targeted Intercession across the City!

5. Sister Cities:

• Los Angeles, Odessa (Russia), Yokohama, Edinburgh, Guangzhou
